Course Overview

The Diploma in Social Work and Community Development (Level 6) at TETI is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and competencies to support vulnerable individuals, groups, and communities. You will learn to promote social justice, sustainable development, and community empowerment through practical fieldwork and real-world projects.

  • Competency-based, practical training
  • TVETA accredited & National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) recognized
  • 12-week industrial attachment with a recognized institution
  • Internal & external assessment (TVET Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council - CDACC)
  • Competence certificate for each unit, diploma on completion
Duration: 2 Years (6 Semesters)
Intakes: January / April / August

Entry Requirements

  • KCSE mean grade C- (Minus)
  • Certificate in Social Work and Community Development Level 5
  • Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
  • Any other international qualifications approved by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
